The extensive heli-ski areas, including Col Du Petit St Bernard, Valgrisenche and Cervinia are all microclimates that benefit from a higher than average European snowfall. With over 30 drop zones, altitudes of up to 3,740 metres and vertical drops of up to 2,400 vertical metres in over 120 square miles of undulating powder fields, tree runs, couloirs, wind lips and steep descents. Heliskiing caters for red run off-piste skiers and above.

½ DAY HELI-SKI / BOARD - 1 Descent

Suitability: For skiers of blue run off-piste ability (or above) and boarders of red run off piste ability. An average to good level of fitness required. Boarders may experience some walking and traversing.
Date: Every Tuesday to Friday (determined by weather). From 12 January until 27 April 2013.
Package description: Easily accessible terrain, close to the French border and perfect for first or second time heli skiers or those wanting a half day. Up to 1500 vertical meters of decent.
Package includes: UIAGM qualified guide or instructor, safety equipment, 1 descent.

FULL DAY HELI-SKI / BOARD - 2 Descents

Suitability: Red run off-piste skier or snowboarder and average level of fitness required.
Date: Every Tuesday to Friday (determined by weather). From 12 December 2012 until 5 May 2013
Package description: Cheaper per drop and the terrain available here is far more extensive and far superior to that of a 1 descent heli as we can take you deeper into the backcountry. Likened to Canada in terms of the terrain available, trees and stunning views and descending over 3300 vertical meters in total, this option is well worth the extra money. From the virgin to veteran heli skier, there are over 20 drop zones in this region and endless descents to suit a wide range of ability and preference. Undulating rather than extreme, it's a touring backcountry experience guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a real glimpse of a whole new world of off piste skiing (without needing to cross the Atlantic).
